This week we study the rise of "White Supremacy" as a force in the south keeping ex-slaves from becoming full and true citizens of the US. In this journal we put ourselves in the place of those who would fight these views of racial superiority.

PARAGRAPH #1: In a paragraph prove wrong the idea that one "race" is better than another and give at least 5 reasons why this is so.

PARAGRAPH #2: In paragraph #2 put yourself in the place of an enlightened governor of a southern state. What 5 things would you do to discourage racist behavior in the people in your state so that "races" live in harmony.
