Discuss one of the following prompts. If half the class has already selected one of the prompts, choose the other.

• Consider the strengths of the Greek culture as shown by the Persian War. Think about the advantages and disadvantages of both sides: which, at face value, would you think would have been the logical victor? Why?
• How did the Peloponnesian War ultimately affect Greece? What weaknesses did it expose in Greek culture? And just what was the “military revolution” discussed in the textbook?

Be sure to provide at least one example from the course readings or from independent research. This example can be a piece of writing or art that illustrates that principle or belief, but you must fully explain the connection and address the reliability of that source in supporting your interpretation.
