This essay will be slightly different. I would like you to consider the idea of "world systems," as discussed by Christian. After showing your understanding of this idea in a general sense, then relate the idea to your own ongoing research project. You are, in a sense, defining your own "world system" to serve as a subject of your investigation. Based on your completed and anticipated readings, discuss the shape of the "world" that you are putting together. Give me a picture or a preview of how you will be implementing a big-picture or "world system" perspective and how you will be thinking about your topic in a Structuralist way
