How did Confucianism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, and polytheism address such issues as the character of the self, the purpose of life, and the proper relationship humans should have with nature? To write a successful essay on these questions, you need to integrate material from each of the following chapters in our textbook: Chapters 4, 5, and 12.
This paper is due the last day of class. You can only use sources from the course (required readings from the textbook and websites) for the Integration Paper. The paper provides you with the opportunity to demonstrate your ability to integrate, into a coherent whole, course materials (textbook and website readings) on recurring a topic or theme in the course. Your essay should be no less than 1250 words (5 double-spaced typed pages) in 12-point Times New Roman font. It can be longer. Paper formatting and all citations must follow Chicago Manual of Style formats (not MLA or APA format). Chicago is the citation and bibliographic style used by historians. You may use either humanities or author-date citation styles but use only one of these styles consistently within the same written work. The author-date citation style is very close to MLA and APA styles.
