Having proved themselves in the service of the nation, both at home and on the battlefield, many groups entered the postwar years more dissatisfied than ever with the discrimination they faced. Reflect on the goals and achievements of the African American Civil Rights Movement. Think about how the African American Civil Rights Movement was similar to and different from the other movements for equality during the 1960s and 1970s.
