The detailed requirement for the final project proposal is in the file below, named "proposal guideline". This is just the proposal, so it's more like an idea of the final project. 

First, Choose one topic from the list. I think to choose between #1 Trans-regional/trans-national film histories and #2 social and political events will be easier to start the final project. For example, if you choose #2 social and political events, fousing on one of the political events, and create a statement that connects the history of Chinese cinema during that political events.

Second, In the final paper proposal, you should include:

  1. The ouline of your research question(s), and tentative argument and structure of your paper.

  2. Your approach and resources that you intend to use.

  3. A prelimiary bibliography of the existing primary sources and secondary sources regarding your topic.

For the research(sources), choose one to two Chinese movie that relate to this political event that you chose. In addition to this, need some readings from offcial library cites to support your statement. 

500 words minimum, MLA format, standard 1 inch margins, 12 pt in the times font.
