Herman miller case assignment; i've been hired by herman miller as an outside consultant to advise them on the design of chair and in particular how they are to implement sustainability into their products.

i've been asked to submit my recommendation with a supporting analysis for the new chair design in light of their sustainability and profitability goals.

the report is to to be adressed to upper management at herman miller, who are thouroughly familiar with the facts and considerations. While the facts, design choices and consequences are know to senior management, this information needs to be extracted and assembled in a form or tool so that conclusions can be drawn and ultimately your recommendation can be supported. One tool is the SWOT(strenghts,weaknesses,opportunities and threats) analysis. Another is a weighted scoring matrix or simply a pro and con chart. You have to use your judgment of the relative importance of each entry in the tool and then form a conclusion and finally your recommendation.
