Here are the assignments I announced that people can do for extra credit in lieu of class on April 18. You can do one or more of these assignments for extra credit. Please bring to our last class on April 25 (exam day).

Extra credit: Use only the passages from the Bible that are on the syllabus to answer these questions. Write a very clear and very specific paragraph (roughly 5-6 sentences) on each question you choose. And always explain clearly the meaning of your examples and/or quotations before quoting

1. Choose one reading from the Bible that is on the syllabus and 1) State what the reading says LITERALLY; and 2) then state what the reading means to you.

2. What are the most important parables in one of the readings from the Bible that is on the syllabus?

3. Tranlslation: Using the reading on the syllabus pertaining to Biblical translations, what main issues or problems arise in translating the Bible?
