You have been asked to write a grant for a program in a nonprofit organization. Any mistakes in your grant can greatly impact how funders perceive and treat your proposal. There are numerous grant writing mistakes that can harm a grant proposal’s potential to be funded. Your CEO is concerned.

In this assignment you will write a memo to your CEO explaining four common mistakes that could adversely affect a proposal. Provide examples of each and identify the preventative ways in which you will avoid these costly mistakes.

Your memo must also adhere to the following standards:

• Be two-to-three pages in length, excluding the title or reference pages
• Properly cite at least three scholarly sources
