The chief executive officer (CEO) of Silver Creek Hospital (SCH), Natasha Beranger, wants to ensure that all of her staff members know the importance of ethics. She has asked you, a member of SCH's ethics committee, to describe and define ethics. Additionally, Ms. Beranger wants you to define and discuss 1 of the principles of ethics (e.g., autonomy, justice, nonmaleficence, beneficence) and describe a situation in a health care setting that will challenge that principle.
