This is the problem: The shortage of registered nurses and other medical personnel is not something that has begun recently. In light of this, the Bureau of Labor Statistics Employment projected a shortage of 250,000 RNs for 1.05 million RN jobs by 2022 (Richards & Terkanian, 2013). Many hospitals and health care facilities are known to be struggling with the issue of nurse shortage. The purpose of this assignment is to begin the discussion to answer this question: What is the relationship between the shortage of registered nurses and quality of care?

In a 750-1,000-word paper, complete the protocol and write the plan to pilot the change in practice.

The clinical guidelines should include the

1-     Problem statement,

2-     EBP question,

3-     literature review,

4-     research synthesis, the

5-     clinical protocol, and

6-     Implementation plan.

7-     Identify specific, realistic patient outcomes that will be used for evaluating the clinical guidelines.

8-     The implementation plan for the protocol should include with criteria a timeline for evaluating the outcomes.

9-     Barriers/Obstacles or drivers for change should be identified and addressed.
