Human Risk Factors

Week Four focuses on human risk factors, including workplace violence, substance abuse, and stress in the workplace. Students examine the warning signs for these issues and develop mitigation strategies.

For this week, faculty must be prepared with real-word examples of human risk factors from a variety of industries. They must have a clear understanding of the industry standard and what the law requires of employers with regard to human risk factors.

Purpose of Assignment

      The purpose of this assignment is to have students create a plan to identify and mitigate human risk factors. This assignment must include at minimum a section on workplace violence, substance abuse, and stress; it may also include other factors relevant to the chosen company.
