HCI/510 Strategy Paper Part 4 and Final Project

Your  project is to develop an informatics solution for an organization.  You must incorporate into this paper the sections you developed over the previous 4 weeks, along with the part for this week.

Use your informatics solution to complete the last requirement for your final paper.

Write a 500- to 600-word paper regarding your implementation and after-implementation considerations. In your paper, address the following:

·         What is your implementation strategy?

·         What is the importance of system documentation?

·         What are the ongoing system maintenance requirements?

·         What are some causes of system implementation successes and failures?

·         How will you handle the successes and failures of your implementation process?

Combine all parts of your paper into a 2,400- to 2,700-word paper detailing your system strategy.  The final paper must include the following:

·         Identification of an issue, problem, or improvement, and the informatics solution, including

o   A summary of your solution.

o   How this solution would be affected by the system life cycle.

·         Application of project management concepts, including the following:

o   What are the needs for system integration? How did you determine these?

o   What are the project resource needs? How did you determine these?

o   How feasible is this change? What factors must you take into consideration?

·         Process for selecting the new system, including the following:

o   What strategies will you use for the RFP development process? Why did you choose these strategies?

o   What is the feasibility of available solutions? How did you arrive at your conclusions?

·         System planning, including the following:

o   Why is testing important?

o   What is your plan for end-user training?  Provide an outline of your plan.

·         Implementation and after-implementation considerations, including the following:

o   What is your implementation strategy?

o   What is the importance of system documentation?

o   What are the ongoing system maintenance requirements?

o   What are some causes of system implementation successes and failures?

o   How will you handle the successes and failures of your implementation process?

Include at least five references.

Format your paper consistent with APA guidelines.

Create a 12- to 15-slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation overview of your project.  Include detailed speaker notes.
