"THE GROWTH OF INCOME INEQUALITY" ( Micro-economics)
TERM PAPER QUESTION: "THE GROWTH OF INCOME INEQUALITY"
Its a fact. The rich are getting richer, and the rest of us are getting poorer. The top 1% of U.S. tax payers, that's 16,000 people, have a combined net worth of $6 trillion. Thats as much as the bottom two-thirdsof the population. 1/4 of American families say they they have no money in savings or checking accounts to cover an emergency. What, on the other hand , allows someone like Bill gates to have a net worth of $79 BILLION dollars?
The question is not whether society( the government) can reduce inequality, but whether it wants to. If the answer is yes, how can it doit?
