Nick Carraway comes into contact with a culture he has little experience with.  Describe a time you were in a culture different from your own.  You might have been in another country, or you might have been in a different region of this country, or you might have come into a contact with a local group (church, family, organization) different enough to invoke some discomfort.  What happened?  How did you react and adjust?  Did you choose to continue your association with this group?  Did you learn something?  What?
