Please chose one of the three topics to write your end of semester essay.  As you will note, you need not do any outside research to write this paper. This paper should primarily reflect your opinions, ideas, knowledge, and concerns. Mechanical instructions are included in the document below along with the three topics from which you may choose one to write about.  Paper is due by end of day this coming Friday, December 11.  Please write me if you have any questions or need any assistance.  This paper, which is one of the five graded exercises in the course, will allow many of you to raise your overall grade as I drop the lowest of the five grades this semester and average the four remaining. You can do well on this paper.  Just sit at your computer and talk to me about what I've asked you.  Before you send it to me, read over it, make corrections where you see that a sentence or a phrase made sense which you were writing it but not when you're reading it.  Don't worry.  That's part of the writing process: Get your ideas down, then go back and clean it all up, and submit that revised, reworked paper.
