The budget process on the state and local level; 2. Equal rights on a state level; 3. Health care on a state level. Within these topics are many many options—under budget you could research fully funding K-12 education or options for funding transportation; under equal rights you could research civil union, same sex marriage, equal pay; under the Health Care topic you might look at the medical use of marijuana, funding abortion. So you have many options. State and local level would be the state of Virginia.
