A company that has avoided the decline stage in the organizational life cycle is Amazon.  Originating as an online bookstore, Amazon has consistently reinvented itself to prevent going into decline by creating new sources of revenue. By going from a bookstore to going to a full online retailer to then producing its own electronics such as the Kindle and now is the world’s largest provider of cloud infrastructure. By consistently reviving itself during the maturity stage, Amazon has done of introducing new products and services have enabled Amazon to regain growth and by avoiding the decline stage, Amazon, is now the world’s most valuable retailer
