For this weeks forum, you should have read chapters 1, 2 and 5 in your text. The primary topic for chapter 5 is communicating across cultures. As I am sure you are aware, global communication is necessary for every one of us. Even for those of us that work from home...chances are, we have to communicate with someone from another culture at some point.

I would like you to discuss a situation in which you have had to communicate with someone from another culture. It could be through work, or personal travel, or maybe even a neighbor that has a significantly different background. Was communicating difficult at first? If so, how? After reading chapter 5, was there something that you would have done differently to make communicating easier? These questions are guidelines for your response.
