Create a 12 to 15-slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation with notes. In your presentation, focus on the physical geology of a specific geographical region (preferably your own locality), and synthesize the concepts learned in this course by relating the fundamentals of geology to the chosen region. Obtain instructor approval for your selected region.

Address the following:

• Select a specific geological region.
• Describe the various geologic events that have occurred in the selected region.
• Describe the geological feature(s) and various types of rocks that formed in the selected area.
• Describe the most prevalent rock type of the feature and the mineral composition of the rock type.
• Estimate the absolute age of the geological feature, and discuss a method used to determine the age.
• Describe a geologic event that created the chosen geological feature.
• Explain the process of plate tectonics related to the geological formation.
• Examine the significance of igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks in the selected region.
• Examine the type(s) of weathering and erosion processes that have most likely affected the physical appearance of the geological feature.
• Describe any significant water, ocean, desert, or glacial feature(s) associated with the region, and the process involved with creating one of them.
• Identify resources that are abundant in the region, and explain the importance and economic value of these resources to the region.
• Explain why this geological feature was selected for the written assignment.

Include photos, diagrams, and so on as appropriate.
