Geog 101 Assignment

Please create a 12-15 slide (to approximate a 15 minute spoken presentation) PowerPoint presentation discussing the way that the following geographic concepts are represented in a particular food item or cuisine:

1. Regions
2. Diffusion
3. Cultural landscape
4. Distance decay


Be sure to address these SPECIFIC geographic terms and concepts. Be sure to refer to your text and glossary to ensure you completely understand these concepts.  Your discussion of these terms must be regarding cuisine!  This is not a report on a country, but on a cuisine or food item (ex. olive oil, yucca, German sausage, German cuisine, Irish cuisine, etc.)  The possibilities are endless.

The presentation of materials should be professional.  For example, avoid neon colors, illegible fonts, severe backgrounds.  All words should appear on the slide.  Make use of bullet points and avoid paragraphs of text.  This should demonstrate an understanding of PowerPoint as well as the material.
 

Citations:

All graphics and photos must be accompanied by a citation.  Not doing so will cause for deductions.
