General physics 2-two pages essay
Task: Write a two-page essay on any topic from general physics 2(electronics and magnatide). Specifically, apply your chosen topic to anything in your life that interests you and *to which the topic is applicable* (example: your current academic major).
Requirements:
1) Include and use at least one important/relevant equation from this class
2) Include two sections:
Section 1: Rigorous scientific explanation. This section should clearly and completely explain the physics involved.
Section 2: General (understandable to non-scientists) explanation. This section should be understandable to an intelligent person without a physics background, e.g. the level at which you might talk in a presentation to potential financiers of a scientific project.
These two sections need not be the same length. I leave it to you to decide how much explanation each section needs.
3) The essay must be typed, using any word processor of your choice. The font parameters are: 12 pt, Times New Roman (or similar), 1-inch margins, 1.5 spacing
Credit: Full credit gets you 5 percentage points added to your final grade.
Due Date: No later than the last day of class (May 8th, 2014). Your must submit a hard copy to me or to my mailbox in NC 3121.
