FNCE 470 Term Paper (Assignment 1)

To receive credit for FNCE 470, in addition to passing the final examination, you must
complete one assignment, worth 50% of your final grade.
The assignment (a research project/term paper) gives you the opportunity to investigate an area of interest in investment analysis and portfolio management. Submitting this paper for
grading and feedback allows you to demonstrate what you have learned by showing the
marker how you can apply the ideas that you have learned in this course.
You should start thinking about possible research topics as soon as you start working on
the course. By the time you finish Lesson 11, you should have discussed your research
topic with an academic expert. See the Suggested Study Schedule for advice on
assignment timelines.
Your assignment will be returned to you, along with the marker’s comments, where
appropriate. When you receive your graded assignment, please review the marker’s
feedback carefully, and feel free to contact the Student Support Centre to arrange to
discuss these comments with your academic expert.
