For this week's hands-on assignment, you will construct your own first-person narrative essay about something that happened to you or something that you have observed. In keeping with our lesson, your essay should also be descriptive -- so keep in mind the possibilities of the five senses and ways that you can engage your reader. 

This assignment should be 2-3 double-spaced pages long and it should also be written from the first-person point of view. Keep in mind the other concepts that we have discussed, such as audience, purpose and effective paragraphing. Remember, too, to proofread your paper.
