Finding my ancestors
The time has come to do some historical research...into your own family! Using some of the available online tools (ancestry.com, genealogical.com, etc.), conduct some research into your family history. You can also go to the library to try to find some archival records, or interview some of your family members. Write a 1 or 2 page report on your findings, the process you used, any pitfalls or triumphs you experienced, and your thoughts on why you think people care about genealogy. You can also include a page with some or all of your family tree, if you'd like, but this is not required. Submit your report through the assignment link below.
P.S.: You may be able to access some online genealogy databases for free at your local library. I know at Williamsburg Regional Library, we offer access to users for ancestry.com (only available within the library building though).
