Financial Analysis

Provide an analysis and a framework for decision making - not an opinion; I'm looking for multi paragraph responses to the following questions:

1.  When would it be better to rent versus own a home?

2.  How should someone choose the amount of life insurance to have, and the type of life insurance to buy?  What's the argument against buying term life and save the difference?

3.  Discuss the decision between buying a new car and buying a used car. (Don't bring leasing into the equation.)

4. When should someone prepay their mortgage?  What's bad about biweekly mortgages?

5.  How should a person, or couple, arrive at a number for their retirement savings goal?
