Write an 8-10 page paper analyzing and draw conclusions on one of the following concepts or ideas about the American Civil War and Reconstruction. The reasons North won and the South lost; the Emancipation Proclmation and its effect on the Civil War and race relations; Lincoln's plan for Reconstruction versus the Radical Republicans plan for Restruction; the impact the Civil Rifhts Amendmenrs had on race relations in hte North, South, and West; the South's attempt to return life to pre-Civil War era conditions through the KKK, black codes, and sharecropping.
