Final Project Parts II and III: Financial Management

• For Part II of the project, you will be writing an essay about bookkeeping systems. A minimum of 300 words is required. A title page and a reference page are required.
• In Part III of this project, you will be creating a PowerPoint slide presentation with a minimum of five slides plus a title slide.

PART II:

A medical office's business records are the key to good management practice. If medical personnel can keep accurate financial records and can conduct the administrative side of the practice is a businesslike fashion, it will be genuinely appreciated.

Questions:

Research and describe the three types of bookkeeping systems. Which of the three systems do you think would be the easiest to work with in the medical office? (Peg Board, Single Entry, Double Entry) Why?

PART III:

Today's medical office is accessed not only physically, but via the Internet as well. Develop a PowerPoint presentation persuading your employer to include a "Practice Website" as part of the overall practice.

Make sure to include the following information:

• What would be the main objective of the website?
• What business advantages would it provide?
• What about medical websites and HIPAA compliance?
• Is scheduling patients online an option?
• How much would it cost?
