Fill the schedule

The motto of the researcher must be, "Note everything!"  This IWA is designed to foster that habit: you will make a research log in which you will record the searches you have conducted.  A research project may take many hours of searching through library catalogs and databases to find the best and most relevant information on your topic.   

Keeping track of the resources you've used and how you searched them can help you to do a thorough and systematic search, and it can help you avoid duplicating your research efforts. The Research Log is essentially a diary of your research process. Every time you search, please note the following:

• the date when you searched
• the resource you used (for instance, Scholar, Academic Search Complete, Lexis Nexis, Ohiolink Central Catalog, etc.)
• the search term(s) you used
• the bibliographic information for any useful materials you found (that is, all of the information needed to make a citation on a works cited page).

For your convenience, I am attaching a table that you can use to log all of the information.
