Field Experience A: Transition Planning

Allocate at least 5 hours to complete this field experience.

Observe and interview one certified K-12 classroom teachers about transition planning. In this case, transition planning can refer to transitioning from grade-to-grade, from one type of classroom setting to another, or from high school to independent living. Your interview should address the following:

1. What is included within a transition plan?
2. What is the significance of each element within the transition plan?
3. What are the planning needs for a smooth transition?
4. What types of resources have you used that were effective and ineffective in transition
   planning?
5. What other professionals are involved in the transition planning process?

In 250-500 words, summarize and reflect upon your interview and explain how you will use your findings in your future professional practice.

APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.
