1.      Executive summary of current policies and procedures the agency utilizes. This summary should include a detailed description of the following:

a.      Interaction with law enforcement units and departments (or other law enforcement agencies if it is a law enforcement agency itself.)  This should include existing MOU’s, training initiatives, exchange programs, or other cooperative agreements.

b.      Roles and responsibilities with intelligence gathering and information sharing.  This should include participation in joint task forces, membership with agency-sponsored programs, or other cooperative efforts.

c.       Current levels of planning and preparedness efforts.  This should include existing emergency management, government/business continuity, or contingency plans.

d.      Training, education, and exercise programs for varying levels of personnel.  This should include executive, line management, and “front line” or “first responder” personnel levels.  Identify what type of training they receive, who conducts it (internal vs. external), where it occurs, how often, and when (initial training, annual refresher training, etc.)

This should be no more than 3 pages in length.
