Family Values

Answere question-

"People often speak of Family Values.  How does ths term relate to the diverse topics covered so far....divorced parents, single parents, blended familes, working parents,..." is the term family values inslusive of all these groups?

Then respond to classmate:

I believe that within each family, family values are inclusive of all groups.  Similar to Joelle's post, I believe that at the root of each family, regardless of how it appears to the outside looking in, we share common values.  

However, I also agree that as a society, we do not include all types of families in our societal "family values."  Many people still view families as very traditional, and do not include families that are blended, same-sex, or single parent families, and do not believe that their values could be upheld in a family that is different from theirs.  If we look at true family values such as providing financially for our children, and providing basic needs, there should be no discrimination.  Any type of family can provide these values.
