Specifically, explain what the one amendment is all about;
discuss in detail its background (how and why the amendment came about);
its impact and influence on the United States;
how well the amendment has functioned (did it do what it was intended to do);
and, lastly, explain in what ways it affects all Americans--provide examples as appropriate.
