ATHLETE INJURY REPORT: The assignment is to pick a current professional or collegiate athlete who has sustained a recent injury (within the last year) and write a 1-2 page case report. (This should be an injury that requires medical intervention.) (15 possible points) This report should include: the athlete and sport, mechanism of injury, description of the injury,return to play criteria/guidelines (when they can return and how), and a reflection on the injury they sustained (will they return to 100%? is this a season-ending injury?, etc). You can use the internet to help you gain information regarding the athlete, but need to use scholarly resources (Journals, textbook, etc) for information about the injury and return to play guidelines.
