Ethics Presentation Reflections:
After watching group’s ethics case study presentations, I’d like you to reflect on the following questions and post your answers in the forum. Remember to state which case study you are answering for in your title so the group can review.
In hindsight, the actions depicted in most of the videos seems so blatantly wrong and perhaps criminal. What do you think was going on in the person’s mind when they intentionally violated the law or were going along with the cover-up? What would allow someone to ignore or commit these acts without acknowledging the seriousness of it?
Or, If you are responding to an act of personal ethics (like Pete Gruden (DEA), Alberto Mora, or Thomas Drake), I’d like you to consider whether there was any validity to the actions of those that supported the government’s position. Can you understand the other arguments?
What would you have done if you were in the same circumstances? Would you have reacted differently?
