Ethics and Other Management Issues

The goal of this writing assignment is to research Bill C­11, which is a relatively recent (2012) update of Canadian copyright law.

Part 1.

Provide at least three links or references to information you found about Bill C­11. Any standard citation style (e.g. APA, MLA) is fine as long as you are consistent. Michael Geist's website is always a good place to begin looking for information on this topic: www.michaelgeist.ca

Part 2.

Write 1-­2 paragraphs summarizing Bill C­11. Highlight just the most significant parts; in particular the parts pertaining to computing and technology. Write 1­2 paragraphs arguing whether or not it improved Canadian Copyright law. Give a discussion of any good and bad elements of the Bill, and whether on balance you think it was a step in the right direction as far as copyright in Canada.
