Answer the following question based on the readings from both books.

Scenerio: You are a manager in a firm in a very competitive industry.  Your major competitor has made an important scientific discovery that will give it a substantial competitive advantage for years to come.  A scientist who knows the details of the discovery applies for a job at your firm.  There are no legal barriers to hiring the scientist (and picking her/his brain).  However, there may be ethical issues.

Answer the following 3 questions based on the facts above.

1)Will you hire the scientist? 

2) Describe the appropriate process to use in making this decision.  (Hint:  A process is a sequence of events.)

3)Do you believe the application of ethical principles hinders free enterprise in the US?  Why or why not?
