Ethics #4
The Cure
A virus is rapidly becoming a pandemic. You are in charge of the CDC and have been given the authority to distribute a rare, but effective, cure. The problem is that it takes a considerable amount of time to produce the medication. Currently, there are 50,000 people infected (with more every day) but only 1,000 available doses of medication. How do you determine who gets the shot? What is the rationale?
