Ethical dilemma

The case study ("Ethical Dilemma at Northlake," in the “Content” section on your course dashboard) will include a Synopsis and three Findings of Fact. Each Finding of Fact will require a justified recommended solution. Students should support their recommended solutions with rational thought learned from the course material, other courses, www resources provided for this course, and real-life experiences.

1. View the case like you are a consultant hired to identify what is going wrong within the company and then tell them how to fix it.  Make sure you identify the overarching problems in your finding of fact (ex: stress).  Then, in your recommendation section you will explain how you identified the problem, identify other concepts from the material that support the bigger problem (ex: perception, role conflict, life stressors, workplace aggression, etc.).  Then tell the company exactly what to do to fix the problem, not only for the situation described, but also fix the company so that this can't happen again.

3.Your paper should be separated into sections and labeled.  First, complete the synopsis (summary) of the case.  Second, identify your first finding of fact (this is usually fairly short, a few sentences).  Third, completed the recommendation section.  This is where the bulk of the paper comes in.  For example: if you identified stress, you will tell me all of the different ways you see stress in the case.  You are also going to integrate other concepts that are directly related.  How does bullying contribute to the stress.  Then fix the problem for the company.  Pretend you are a consultant brought in to get things back on track.  What are you going to do so that the immediate problem is fixed and future issues don't arise.  Then repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have 3 facts and 3 recommendations.

4. Do Not Plagiarize!  Use MLA. If you use something from the text, cite the text.  If you quote something word for word (even if it is from the text) you must put the quote in quotation marks and cite it.  If you paraphrase from someone else's ideas, cite the source.  When in doubt, cite it!  Everything you need for this assignment can be pulled from the text, so you are not required to find outside sources.

2                     Analysis of OB concept and related concepts from the text

3                     Reactive recommendations (how can you solve the current problem)

4   Finding of Fact 2 (the OB concept related to the problem you identify)

5   Recommendation Section 2

1                     Justification of finding (how you know it is a problem)
