First, do not worry about (i.e. do not discuss) comparing and contrasting void and voidable contracts.  This is an area of the law where we see conflicting interpretation even in published court opinions, and I see little value in analyzing the distinction of void vs. voidable in an undergraduate level course.  I'll briefly address the distinction in class on Tuesday, but there's no need to write about the general concept of void versus voidable contracts in your Week Five written assignment

There are five remaining bullet points in the assignment instructions.  Please read them as:

• Contracts that are against public policy
• Contracts that are one-sided and/or contracts that are unconscionable
• Contracts where one of the parties is a minor (under the age of 18)
• Contracts where the mental capacity of one of the parties is in question
• Contracts that involve an illegal/unlawful purpose.

I would like you to choose two of the five bullet points above, and write your paper about the two points (i.e. the two types of contracts/agreements) that you've selected.  Specifically, please read the third paragraph of the assignment instructions as follows: "Write a 2 page (minimum) paper using proper APA formatting. Please select two of the five bullet points that I've set forth in my course Announcement related to the Week Five Written Assignment, and discuss these types of agreements.  In your discussion, describe the agreements in question, provide at least two examples of each of the two types of agreements you're discussing, and explain why the two agreements that you've chosen are problematic for the parties to the agreement or for anyone else."

I've provided a link for the grading rubric in this Announcement.   I'm also providing a link to an article from nolo.com which provides a brief summary of several of these disfavored types of agreements.  The article doesn't address these agreements in an exhaustive way, but it does provide a clear overview and could be instructive and helpful as you prepare to complete this assignment.   Here's the link, and let me know if you have any questions:
