Essay Series - Extended Opinion Piece

For the final essay in the Essay Series, choose between one of the three types of essays you have already written (persuasive, comparative, and evaluative). This can also be a hybrid essay, one where the various types employed in this course are combined. If you choose to write a hybrid essay, make sure that the primary essay type is made evident within the introduction, thesis, and conclusion.

The topic for this essay is "Public Funding for the Arts and Sciences." Your approach to this topic depends on the type of essay you choose to write. You are encouraged to use sources to support your arguments; however, the essay should be no more than 1-2 pages and based primarily on your own thoughts, opinions, and arguments.
