  • Chesapeake Bay
  • Massachusetts Bay & Southern New England
  • Pennsylvania
  • French, Dutch, or Spanish settlements (New York, for example)

In your essay, think of questions such as who/what/when/where/why/how… and be sure to include a thesis (as all essays should).  Let me give you some sample questions to address:
