-begins by addressing a "focusing question," in this case, one of topics listed on a separate handout.

-briefly summerrize and then analyzes the views of at least two writers on your chosen issue.

-show how you wrestled with a different views on the focusing question and have synthesized these to arrive at your own new view of the issue.

RESEARCH- I need to find at least 2 writers who share contrasting opinions on my topic. non of the sourses can be web sites unless i get a signed approval from the teacher.

double spaced, typed drafts should be between 800 and 1000 words in length ( not counting the " works cited" page).

-issues

1-who was the greatest general/battlefieled commander of all time?

2-who were the "good guys" in the battle of thermopylae?
