“Social responsibility” is an ethical framework and suggests that an individual, organization, or entity has an obligation to act for the benefit of society at large.   Read “A Negro Leader Explains Why Colored Men Fought for America, 1919.” Using the essay as a springboard for discussion, write a fiveparagraph essay in which you discuss at least at least three reasons why black men’s commitment to fighting for the United States was a remarkable act of social responsibility.   Your thoughtful essay should contain an introduction (one paragraph), body (three paragraphs), and conclusion (one paragraph) and should include evidence from the given text.    After you have completed your essay, please grade it using the attached rubric.
