essay comparing and contrasting

Read chapter 35 "Comparing and Contrasting" (348ff.).

You are to compare and contrast the two soccer players Leroux and Jaddou as profiled in the articles posted in Content. Be sure to write in keeping with all of the following requirements.

Your essay is to have three paragraphs in keeping with this outline:

Paragraph one: Thesis statement (one or two sentences).
Paragraph two: Similarities between the two players
Paragraph three: Differences between the two players

In the third paragraph, use the "point-by-point method" (p. 350) for giving contrasts.

Incorporate at least three brief, well-chosen quotes; no quotes should be longer than a sentence--although you might combine a couple sentences with the use of ellipsis. There should be no block quotes and no patchwriting.

The paper is due in the Dropbox by Thursday night, December 3. It will count as three "daily assignment" grades. If you wish me to comment on a draft, you must email me the draft by Sunday night, November 29.
