            According to Carasik Lauren, the article explains further about Ending sexual exploitation by peacekeepers, one year after allegations surfaced the French wanted to protect the ten boys, and no one can be held accountable except the whistleblower who has seen everything. France sent the peacekeepers to the CAR in (December 2013) to make peace between the Muslim and the Christian’s because they caused the humanitarian crisis and a massive displacement. The new problem for the peacekeepers is not sexual exploitation it Is the peacekeepers because they took advantage of these ten boys and did appalling things to the people who needed actual help from the peacekeepers and not to be treated the way they were. According to this article, “The U.N. lacks the ability to prosecute the peacekeepers, but that does not absolve the organization of its responsibility to act quickly and decisively, in concert with local investigators and prosecutors, when credible allegations of abuse surface. It has other tools at its disposal: In addition to political pressure, for example, the U.N. can stop contracting with countries that fail to hold their troops to account.” (Carasik) So peacekeepers would hurt people that actually needed there help and support, but they ended up taking advantage with their name and going against it with a very negative attitude they would hurt many people. The U.N is still unable to do anything to help these people. In 2006, Kofi Annan decided to make this tragic event come to an end. He organized a zero tolerance policy for sexual exploitation and abuse by peacekeepers hoping that these things would come to an end. The U.N has created this policy expecting peacekeepers to send the right message to the people. Rather than having society fear the peacekeepers.
