During the Classical Period (500 B.C.E. – 500 C.E.), vibrant Eurasian empires flourished. At their height, the Persian, Hellenistic, Mauryan, Qin, Han, and Roman Empires expanded in size, shaped regional politics with formidable armies, wielded great cultural influence, and drew wealth from a host of subjugated peoples.However, it took considerable effort to forge imperial unity. Compare and contrast at least two of the empiresmentioned above, highlighting the relationship between imperial success and the assimilation of conquered peoples into a centralized state.
