Write a three-page, double-spaced, word-processed essay (12 point font, Times New Roman, 1” margins all around) on the topic of academic integrity and professionalism.  In your essay, you must create three original, realistic scenarios involving academic integrity issues you have already encountered or expect you might encounter during your engineering studies at ASU (these cannot be the scenarios discussed in class).  For each scenario, explain what you should or should not do, and discuss in detail what the FSE Honor Code and ASU Academic Integrity Policy say about that topic.  Any direct quotations from those (or any other) documents should be kept to an absolute minimum and must be properly referenced (likewise with paraphrasing).  Follow a style manual for citations.

Proper grammar, spelling, and composition are expected (be certain to spell check your paper prior to submission).  Pages must be numbered.  Always put a blank line between paragraphs.

Your name, your instructor’s name, your section, the title of your essay, and the date it is to be submitted should appear at the top of the first page (but keep the size of the header to a minimum).

Your essay will be submitted through SafeAssign and will be rigorously checked for plagiarism against all other current and past submissions and against the Internet.
