Epidemiological Evaluation

profilejons.9

  • Explain the role of implementation and evaluation in evidence-based practice.
  • Evaluate health research for sound, evidence-based practices.
  • Assess the value of multiculturalism and diversity in a global environment.

Imagine that you are working with an epidemiological team. The lead investigator has asked you to analyze and communicate health research for sound, evidence-based practices in epidemiology. Take a look around your community. What health concerns do you see? Are there any diseases prevalent within your community? Answering these questions are some of the first steps in researching epidemiology. Findings from epidemiological research helps clinicians assess the likelihood of specific diseases and their prevalence within a specific population. You can review epidemiological concerns at the global level through research conducted by the World Health Organization.
