Course Project: Rough Draft

A rough draft is your first attempt at writing your paper. It is your first stab at expanding on the topics and subtopics that you mapped out in the paper outline. Recall the writing skills you learned in Composition I, check out the extra resources in the Need More Help? section, and reach out to your professor if you are feeling stuck. Remember that the rough draft just needs to be your best first attempt, and you will likely make many edits and revisions before submitting your Final Draft in Week 5.

For this assignment, the rough draft of your 3-page research paper is due.  Your rough draft should include all of the sections in your outline. 

Please use APA formatting for your paper.  For more information on APA formatting, please check out Purdue's OWL.

Very Important!!! Any time you use a direct quote or paraphrase from an outside source, you should be using an in-text citation. It's important to give credit where credit is due. For more information on in-text citations, check out Purdue's OWL.
